Registration Terms and Conditions

Please read this agreement carefully before registering. Your use of Plato will indicate your acceptance of the terms in this agreement.

General Terms
Progress Learning Limited is providing Plato as a service to its clients.

Plato is and remains the sole property of Progress Learning Limited and as such Progress Learning Limited reserves the right to make any amendments to the system as necessary.

Progress Learning Limited will use your company and personal data solely for the purposes of administration, statistical analysis, marketing and customer services including customer profiling.  We may disclose your information to our employees and associates for these purposes.

You have a right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you for a fee of £10, and to correct any inaccuracies in your information.

Progress Learning Limited will not pass on any of your information to anyone outside of Progress Learning Limited unless for the sole purpose of providing you with a service that you have requested. In the majority of cases this will consist of details relating to the provision of courses to meet a specific need.

Progress Learning Limited may also use your data to determine the learning preferences of your organisation and so tailor its services to best support you in your activities.

Security
All precautions have been taken to ensure that data contained within Plato is safe and secure from malevolent access. Progress Learning Limited guarantees the security of your information to the extent to which such data can be secured. The level of data contained within Plato will relate to an organisation’s and an individual’s learning requirements and, as such, the level of risk associated with the possibility of compromise of such data must be assessed by the organisation concerned.

Please consider carefully the following and communicate these to all users for whom you are responsible:-

Passwords

• Take all reasonable steps to ensure your password stays secret. Do not disclose the complete password to anyone.
• If you think your password is known to someone else, you must change it as soon as possible.
• You must not let anyone else operate Plato for you.

Liability for loss of data
Plato is provided as a service to our clients and every effort has been made to ensure a stable service with 24-hour support in the event of system failure. Data will be regularly backed-up and, in the event of system failure, we will make every endeavour to restore full data within one day.

Progress Learning Limited is not liable for any loss – either direct or indirect – caused as a result of system failure.

Ending your use of Plato
You may cancel your use of Plato by contacting Progress Learning Limited on the main telephone number.
We reserve the right to end or suspend your use of Plato. We will usually give you 30 days notice. We may give you less or no notice if we consider it necessary, for example because of security concerns or because of breaches in your arrangements with us.
We will suspend your use of Plato if you do not use it for 12 months.
Ending your use of Plato will not affect any business already agreed between your organisation and Progress Learning Limited.

Charges
We reserve the right to amend our fees for the use of Plato and related services on giving 30 days notice.

Our right to change this agreement
We may change the terms of this agreement on giving prior notification.
We will normally give you 30 days notice of any change. It may have to be shorter to protect security or in other circumstances beyond our control. After you have received notice your use of Plato will be deemed as acceptance of the change.

Data
By registering on and/or using Plato you agree to the following:-

I agree that Progress Learning Limited may keep my details and those of all users to whom I enable access to Plato. Also, as a representative of my organisation, I agree that Progress Learning Limited may keep the details of my organisation, given by me or other people during my relationship with Progress Learning Limited. This includes:

• details I provide on application
• details provided by individuals within my organisation related to contact information and learning requirements
• information gained from managing the organisation’s account

 

I also agree that Progress Learning Limited may use and update this centrally held information to: provide me with services, identify products and services which might be suitable for me, and update their own records about me. Progress Learning Limited may use information from my organisation for research and statistical analysis with the aim of improving their services.

I understand that if false or inaccurate information is provided and fraud is identified, details will be passed to fraud prevention agencies. Law enforcement agencies may access and use this information.

You may contact me about products and services available from Progress Learning Limited and from selected companies outside your group which you believe may interest me or benefit me unless I have told you that I do not want to receive this information. Other companies, including those in your group, will not make marketing approaches to me without my consent.

The law covering this agreement
This agreement is governed by English law. We both agree to the jurisdiction of the English courts for disputes. We can also pursue our remedies in the courts of any other appropriate jurisdiction.
